Terms of sponsorship

These are the terms of a hole sponsorship. The version shown to you at checkout is recorded with your order, word for word, alongside the date and who accepted it — so what you agreed to can always be produced, not reconstructed.

1What you are buying

Exclusive sponsorship of the hole or holes named in your order, at the golf course named in your order, for the term in clause 3. One business per hole. Nobody can outbid you or take the hole during your term.

Your panel is 570 × 130mm, full colour, weatherproof, fitted directly beneath the club's own tee sign on the tee you sponsor.

2What we do, and what it costs

The price in your order covers all of the following. There is no set-up fee, no design fee and no charge for any of it separately:

• designing your panel and sending you a PDF proof;
• amendments until you are happy, before anything is made;
• manufacturing the panel;
• fitting it at the club;
• maintaining it for the whole term, including replacing it at our cost if it is damaged or fades.

All prices exclude VAT (or US sales tax), which is added at the applicable rate. Approving your proof controls when your panel is manufactured. It does not change when payment falls due.

3Term and renewal

12-month minimum term. It renews for another 12 months unless notice is given at least 30 days before renewal.

Notice can be given by email to golf@jbmediahub.co.uk. We will acknowledge it in writing; if we have not acknowledged it, assume we have not received it.

We will email you at least 45 days before each renewal date, so the notice window never passes without you being told it is coming.

4Payment

Payment is by card, monthly or annually, whichever you chose. Annual is the same money paid at once and is not discounted.

If the course you sponsor is installed, your first payment is taken on the day you order. If the course is still being installed, we take your card details on the day you order and your first payment is taken when the signage goes up — the date is shown on your order before you pay.

If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid 30 days later we may remove the panel and end the agreement, and the balance of the term remains due.

5Artwork

You own your logo and your brand. You license us to reproduce them on the panel, and in photographs of the panel, for the term. You confirm you have the right to grant that licence.

We can decline artwork that is unlawful, that infringes somebody else's rights, or that the golf club reasonably objects to. If we decline artwork and no alternative can be agreed, you may cancel and we refund everything you have paid.

6The club's approval

The golf club approves every sponsor on its course. If the club declines your sponsorship, we refund everything you have paid in full, or offer you a hole at another course — whichever you prefer. You are not left out of pocket and you are not obliged to take the alternative.

7Your Sponsor Golf Pass

Every hole you sponsor includes 4 rounds of golf a month at the course you sponsor, for the term. 1x four-ball or 2x two-balls per month, not valid on Saturdays. Cannot book more than 7 days in advance. Sponsor a second hole and the entitlement doubles. Your club may confirm different arrangements, in which case those are the ones shown on your order and they are the ones that apply.

The pass is issued to your business and may be used by anyone you nominate. Rounds are subject to the club's normal tee-booking arrangements and to any restrictions stated on your order. It is a benefit of the sponsorship, not a separate purchase, and it has no cash value.

8If something goes wrong

• If we cannot fit your panel within 60 days of your approval, you may cancel and we refund everything you have paid.
• If the club leaves the programme during your term, we will offer you an equivalent hole at another course or refund the unused part of what you have paid.
• If the club closes, is sold, or the hole ceases to exist, the same applies.

Our liability under this agreement is limited to what you have paid us under it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9Your data

We use your details to fulfil your order, invoice you and contact you about your sponsorship. We do not sell them. The full detail, including what the club is told and what it is not, is in the privacy policy.

10Governing law

Sponsorships at courses in the United Kingdom are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Sponsorships at courses in the United States are governed by the law named in your order. Region follows the course, not where you are — a business in Manchester sponsoring a hole in Connecticut is on the US agreement, because that is where the sign is.
